HOW DID WE GET HERE YOU ASK?

I started SPC because I was missing my hangout. Coffee shops had always been my place to meet with friends, to study, a place to hangout with my dog…I’ve gone on several dates, it’s just been my place. When COVID happened though I wasn’t able to do any of that and so I came up with the idea of creating a coffee brand that brought the coffeeshop feel to people’s personal spaces. We were able to push the brand online and in holiday markets that existed where social gatherings could happen. In those experiences, I had several conversations with folks a lot of it being centered around well-being and how they were holding up during COVID. Many people were teetering on depression and some honestly just needed to know that things were gonna be okay. I understood their sentiments because I too was experiencing mental instability but for me coffee with some bomb coffee-creamer definitely helped. I wanted to use our brand to empower, encourage and uplift and I thought what better way to do that then to provide a positive message in a bottle! I designed each coffee-creamer with a positive personality trait, encouraging folks to reflect on how they feel or want to feel for the day. Some days, you may feel or want to feel confident so you’d add a splash of Confident Caramel ™ to your cup! 

As communities started to bounce-back from COVID, I was able to share our brands mission of finding purpose using the Style Pop Cafe brand as a stimulant to do so. 

I always wanted to open up a coffeeshop but not just any coffeeshop. I wanted it to be a myriad of all the cafes and coffeeshops that I’ve experienced in addition to it being an inclusive space made for people to find their purpose and their why over their experience with our brand. 

 Essentially, the Style Pop Cafe® brand was born out of my passion for coffee shops. I envisioned a space that catered to a person's unique style and needs, whether they're seeking a productive workspace, a social hub, or a place to find inspiration. Our slogan, "What Makes You Pop?", embodies the idea that coffee can be a catalyst for a person's personal spark. It's the fuel that ignites creativity, motivation, and drive, helping you show up as your best self every day. 

 With this fundraiser we’d be able to reach the finish line and pay for the remaining construction and material needs for Style Pop Cafe to open. With opening up, we would be able to create long lasting positive impacts in our communities that are apart of and support the BIPOC, LGBTQ community and our allies. Our goal is to create a cafe environment that encourages and support community by providing a safe and welcoming space for all individuals to connect and socialize. We will strive to enhance the customer experience by catering to the diverse needs of our customers by offering a space for productivity, socializing, and creative expression. 

 Style Pop Cafe is fundraising a total of $45K. 

 These funds will pay for 

•  construction costs (~$32,000)
• Materials ($13,000)

Thus far we have spent well over $40,000 already towards this project. We unfortunately dealt with some unpleasant contractors which has resulted in the massive delay of reaching our various opening dates. 

We know that you’re ready for us to open and see us thrive and so are we!! We have a ton of plans for the space and hope to see you be a part of them.
